By using the natural process, which is the original method in which coffee was processed, the resulting flavor is unlike any other. Using this method, the cherries are dried with the beans inside, with all of their layers still intact.
Once dried, the coffee is roasted in it's natural state or as we refer to it, in it's "raw" state.
This type of processing results in a very distinct smoky flavor yet still with that remarkably smooth finish you expect from a great Kona coffee. This is how it earned its "campfire coffee" nickname.
